Use the following standards when adding or editing the extensible attributes in hostmaint.
A valid building name. The auto-lookup is a starts with search, so "Spiess" will not return anything, but "Fred" will.
The date when the record is added or changed. Use the calendar icon.
Leave this blank. Eventually this info will be auto-populated based on vlan/subnet.
A valid department name. The auto-lookup is a starts with search, so "Atmospheric" will not return anything, but "Climate" will.
Details for Model (optional: serial number or other identifying information. See Remarks.) and operating system.
Desktop, Laptop, Server, Printer, etc. as appropriate.
Username of person editing the record.
Any useful or relevant information. Free format.
The room number. Building name is unnecessary to include if you've filled out the Building field.
OWN=Email address of primary user/owner of device; (Include full name of visitors if not a UCSD address)
MGR=Email address of person or group who manages the device if different from OWN;
USER (aka PUT from original hostmaint)=Email address or name of group/lab if different from OWN;
